Alas – it has been a little while since our last blog post – and boy, has ALOT happened since then.
Due to a complicated mix of COVID, landlords, redeveloping our business model, closing down our studio, relocating our office and school resources, and saying goodbye to our ART Club programs, holiday programs, art parties, and adult workshops (exhale!) – we are now focussing on our FANTASTIC in-schools program and kindy program.
Back to basics for us – going back to what we have been passionately working on developing for the past 25 years – an educational, hands-on art program for kids.
We are loving getting back into the classroom, and have been super busy visiting schools around South East Qld – from Beechmont to Eumundi to Middle Ridge, and everywhere in between. And not forgetting our awesome team in Sydney busy working with kids all around old Sydney town too.
It has been extra extra wonderful visiting all the mini makers in kindys this past month – they have jumped back into creative mode very easily indeed!
With Fathers Day coming up we have been making some clay bird sculptures, and also some Dad Bags. Great little projects that we know dads and grand-dads will adore.
Check out these portraits created at a range of centres over the past couple of weeks. The kids worked with markers and watercolours onto brown paper bags.
The kids have been so great at listening and applying all of little tips and ideas we share with them into their own unique creations. Love those beards and bald heads!! So cute to see the way these kids see their dads.
We are looking forward to getting back into our regular blog posts – keeping you all up to date with ideas, projects, and creative inspo for your classrooms.
Anything you would like to know about – let us know!!
Yours in Art
